I graduated from Syracuse University in 2001, where I obtained my Master's Degree in Social work and went through years of supervision to obtain the title of Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in Dialetical Behavior therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and crisis management. I am currently licensed and insured to provide mental health services in New York, South Carolina, and Florida. After completing my education, I honed in on my skills by working with clients in a variety of different settings and treating numerous diagnoses. I believe in treating all clients with compassion and providing a judgement-free environment.
My early years of my experience was earned by addressing the mental health needs of mandated clients while working in prisons, followed by 3 years of working on an inpatient psychiatric unit. These diverse experiences prepared me to open my own private psychotherapy practice, guided by a client-centered approach that meets people emotionally and motivationally where they are at. I am able to help clients in New York, Flordia, and South Carolina with the convenience of virtual counseling sessions.
